The Artist

My name is Richard Göpel — designer, Leipzig, trying to make a living from drawing things that mean something. The work is mine: the ideas, the weirdness, the message behind it. I'm not a brand with a warehouse. I print on demand so nothing gets made until you actually want it, and everything I can find that's sustainably made, I use.

5% of every sale goes to a charity that fits the piece — you can see which one on each product page. It's not a huge amount, but it adds up, and it means you're not just buying a shirt.

Transparency

While I am aware that this project will not bring me a fortune, I still hope to bring my artworks to some people that might enjoy it. You will see throughout my store that I am trying to be completely transparent about what I earn with these sales. I am trying to earn some money on the side with this because it will help me to create my art and not just work for other people. My life is pretty much all work and hanging out with my wonderful wife, Tina. Don’t get me wrong, I am lucky and privileged to do this job that I love, I just want to be able to create more art for myself and the people that love my work.
